It has been around one and half month since I joined microsoft, but it's still much of unknown to me. I learn many new things daily about this company, This is really good company and a great place to work. I'll really enjoy working in microsoft. I have started my work, today I completed my first task given to me that too on time (cheers ;)).
I am little slow in learning things here, but I think I'll slowly pick up and will be on track.
Let's see how I do in my second phase of career with Microsoft.

New CIty, New Job, New Life

Today is my first day of a company which I have admired from my childhood (B.E. time): Microsoft.
I have moved to a new city Hyderabad to join very old but brand new company for me. I have been a very great fan of Bill Gates, and today I find myself as a part of his venture. I hope I'll learn many new things in this company and will fulfill the requirements of the Company.

At last I have left my first company where I have spent my last 4 years 4 months veveo. Veveo will allwsys be in my memories as I had a great time there. I have left bengalore as well. Yesterday was my last day at Bangalore. To day we (me and megha) came to hyderabad and I am joining Microsoft from 24 nov 2009. Right now we are ms guest house and looking for a 2 bhk flat.

Time to move on, last day at Veveo

It has been more than 4 years, I am in Veveo, but now the time has come, I have to move out and go somewhere else. It's my last day at Veveo.
I still remember how excited I was when I joined Veveo at 25th July 2005, the office used to be in 7th floor of Prestige Meridian, M.G. Road, Bangalore. Since then I have been a considerable part of Veveo and Veveo has been an important part of my life. I have seen this company going from the stranth of around 17 to 40 and coming back to 25. This company has seen many turned in this tenure, and I am proude of being a part of this journey. The company will allways have a special place in my heart. I have learn a lot from Veveo.
I had great time working in Veveo, I worked with different set of guys in different stages and learned many things from each of them. Let me list down the (not so exhastive) list:
Rahul Agrawal, Rakesh, Sashi, Abhijit, Pankaj, Prashanth, Lening, Nagesh, Venkat, Sharmila, Siva, Pranav, Vineet, Mayank, Keyur, Rashmin, Sanjay, Ganesh, Raman, Ajay, Terry, Tim, Shawn, Apurv, Manish, Murali and many more.
But for now I want to go somewhere else. I want to explore more, I want to learn more. It's time when I can safely leave my current job without much harming the environment. I want to explore new technologies, new strategy and new way of working. I hope I'll be able to use my learnings I got here.

bungee jump (not reverse)

2 weeks back, I went to Innovative filmcity. It's not a film city actually, it's more like a theme park or mela to say. We enjoyed alot there. There I did bungee jumping which was not the reverse bungee jumping from which I am scared after this exident. In this event they tied me with elastics from both of my sides to my stomach and the elastics goes to 2 towers of hight of around 18ft. THe operator pull the elastics using remote, and then you are in air tied with those elastics. Then he starts pulling the leaving back those elastics so you go up and down.
I really enjoyed it alot. Wanted to do one more round, but my left leg started givin me some pain. will post photo/video soon.

bungee jump tragedy

Last week I got a mail from BMC saying there's gonna be bungee jumping from 10th to 12th of april. I always wanted to do bungee jump. So I decided to give it a try. But I couldn't go there. And when I saw sunday (12th) news paper's main headline, I was totally shocked. It said a person died when trying bungee jumping. I read the details it was the same vanue, I was planning to go to.
I couldn't believe my eyes. The 25 yrs young who came from chennai, lost his life on the event.

When I got the mail of the event, I went to the website where they wrote it's safer then crossing a road. Here's the link. Later I got to know that the event was organized by headrush. I went to there site. Where they say about the safety measures they apply.

But the truth is that, safty was not at all there concern. The exident occured due to hoock got loosen, so the personnal were not well trained to know when to change it. They didn't check it after every jump. And though thay claim on site medical, there was no ambulance, not even first aid. unlucky guy's friends had to rush to hospital and he was declared dead there.

After this event, I and many like me will never try any risky sport atleast in India, and will think 10 times before going for little risky sports too. This event is a wakeup call for event organisers as well as authorities. I am feeling very sad after this exident.

Acadia again, but new experiance.

Sashi planned for a 3 days trip to Acadia national park 9-11 aug. we started at saturday morning. took a halt at old orchid beach, nice and popular beach. We were there for around 40 minuts, enjoying the waves. Then reached the Motel at around 2:30pm. We went to national park first took a nice path for walking. It was a scenic path, which was a round of very beautiful lake. Then we went to the bar harbour. Then at eve we went to a beach. There was no sand there, but we reached there at a perfect time of sun set. Though we were at the east US but that place was heading 3 ways on the sea, so we could see the sunset. It was cloudy but nice. I swimed on the heated swiming pool of the motel than. I really like the motel. It had wifi and the room was with kichen.
At the night I alone went to the down town of bar harbour for dinner. The main purpose was to visit the downtown. I did little shopping. and were there for couple of hours. Nice small town.
Next day me and sashi went to the top of the codiac mt for sunrise, was it was very late. but it was very scenic palce. One of the most beautiful scenic place I have ever been. Then we did at little trek of around 2.4miles. It was nice trek on the bear brook trail. Now ew were back at the motel took bhabhi and went to Sand Beach. Where last time I could just stand for 5 minuts. this time I had opportunity to swim. We were there for more than 1.5 hrs. Very nice picnic spot. Next destination was gordon pond. we took a little walk there. but it was more beautiful on the falls, last year. On the eve we were again at the top of codiac. It was looking totally different than morning. Realy very scenic.
Next day was for other part of the park. we went to some sound and bass harbour, nice places but not as good as last 2 day's places. Though echo lake was very good. A kalm and clean lake with sand beach. Perfect place to take rest. We went to a light house which totally disappointed me, I was expecting a tall light house on which we will go up. but it was not at all tall. In my child hood I went to light house in kanya kumari that was very tall and we went to the top of that, I don't remember much but it was very nice experiance. I even touched the lights there.
Well, after that we were back on the way to home.
This 3 day trip was 3 rd trip, in this session of my US tour. 3 trips back to back. Every weekend. So the next weekend is for rest. Anyway my Birthday is there on this weekend. So I was at home only. Taking full rest, and talking to my fiance. Last year also I was alone at my B'day, at Chennai, on the Marina beach after the visa interview.

Trek Alone, Franconia ridge

United stats is a very beautiful country, may be it looks more beautiful because it give you easy access to the natural beauties, whereas in India you'll need little pain to go to a scenic place. Here I travel on I93 in NH and all around me is greenery, they have such a great infrastructure that u can reach 100 miles (more than 160KM) in 1.5 hours, the second thing I am inpressed by U.S. is their infrastructure. I dream the same thing for India.
So let's come to main point, I am planed for a day long trek and since there is not partener, I decided to go alone. I know it's little crazy but I think I'll enjoy alot in this trek. Even when I go with my friends many times I just trek little seperated from them enjoying the beautiful nature, and sound of water or birds,, or my ipod is allways with me. So going alone was not a big prob with me. I found a great 8.9mile trek called franconia ridge which is said to be one of the most dramatic hikes of new england area. I think I am gonna enjoy it. So I just packed my backpack and started at early morning 7-7:15 at my Azera. Weather is cool, I am driving at around 75mph, ya I know it's little higher than the limit(65), but I want to start early. But on the way when I was trying to overtake a car, I realized that that is Police car, oh my, now I am at 70 and I am on the left lane, where I am suppose to go when I have to overtake, somehow I tried to overtake them being under the 70. Now I was leading them at 70, after some time the car overtook me. I was just follwing them at normal speed. After 15-20 minuts they went somewhere else hfff.
So I reached there at 9am. The good thing about this place was, the trail starts at highway only, so I had no problem in looking for the way to go. I remember when last time Me and Bharat went to Mt. washington, we got very late because more than half of the way was not the highway and we had difficuly to find the way too.

I parked the car lookeed here and there, reduced some weight, took some snaps and started. At the starting only I started hearing souund of flowing water. Oh man, I love this sound. The very beautiful music of water removes all the tiredness out of you. Starting part was very nice. The trek is around 3 + 3 + 3. First 3 to Mt lincoln then other 3 from Mt. Lincoln to Mt. Hafayette and other 3 from there to down again. There was a wood bridge over the flowing water so I took right and went over the bridge. There I found a very nice thing. I saw a box containing a register where you are requested to register yourself, like which trail u r fololowing (there were more than one trails starting from there), and how much big is the group, and how much time u r gonna take. I wrote 7 hrs. I was going beside the water stream, and enjoying with the extreme. There were few very nice water falls on the way. Near one water fall I thought let me take pic from the front so I started going to the front over the water, but my shoe slipped, I lost balance and I was lying on the ground. Now I saw the camera which was lying on the water. I carefully went there and picked it up. I got good design on the front side. That's OK. Not a great damage to me and to my cam.
One good thing about this incident/exident was I was extra careful now. there were many more dangarous places later I went thru, where If I would have slipped as earlier, it would have given me more trouble. So whatever happens, it happens for good ;). Later I found a nice group. a tall water fall (see the pix).
Then the trail entered the jungle. It was a dence jungle, as the pix taken inside were also dark. I was hearing romantic songs on my ipod. suddenly I realized that there is no sound coming from outside. I paused the song, and there was no sound. In India u'll listen to many birds and all but It was totally silence there, strange.
When the jungle finished I was rocks where we were climbing. Later I realized I am not on the right trek. Actually I took the round anticlockwise whereas I palnned for clockwise. Actually I was not supposed to take the wood brodge. That's OK. Now after some time I was over the jungle, and big rocks. Now it was totally open area. After half a mile I reached on top of a hill, I think it ws little haystack. Then after some more trek I reached the My Lincoln. wow what a great place. I took some rest there.
Then after going thru the real trek I reached socond big mountain, Mt Lafayette. A 5260 ft highmountain. The view from there was very very beautiful. I was totally enjoying the place, and I was glade that I came here. Really This trek is worth doing. I was stayed there for around 15-20 minuts.
Now the next target was greenleaf hut, around 1.2mile from there. But it took so much time to reach there. When I reached there the other group which was trekking with me was there. A girl asked that 'r u follwing us; just kidding', I told 'earlier u were follwing me ;)'. It was very nice hut. Had the facility to stay also. the hut was totally green in terms of energy. There is no energy supply from down. it generates the energy from solar panels and wind fan. If it's cludy and no wind then they burn some propene to get the work done. I like the concept very much. There on a table there were tea, coffee, donuts and cold drink. and a plate contained some dollars and coins. Price list was pasted on the wall. U r supposed to put the money and take what u want by yourself. Good. There were few books also. I stayed there for around 10 minuts.
Now I had to reach down. It was 3:30 or 4, so I was allready legging on time. I thought I'll go down quickly, but no it was a teepy climb down, and I was very tired so it was taking much longer than my expectation. This part of the trek was most tiring.
When I was totally tired, I heard flowing water sound, so I knew I am near the end. At last, I reached at the same wood bridge. I thought let's take a snap by self timer on the bridge. I sted the camera I never used the self timer earlier successfully. I was standing on a pose, but nothing happend I reached to camera to set it again, but it started raining, so I sterted going towards the trail's end. the rain was heavy so I took my IISc jacket out. And in 100 meters I my jackat was totally wet. I thank god that the rain didn't start earlier. If the rain would have started on the way down. I was totally screwed.
So here my trek was completed. Wow very nice but tiring trek. I enjoyed it toooooooooo much. My 9.5 pts to Franconia Ridge.
On the way back to home, it was a worst thunder storm I have ever seen in my life. On the hight way where min speed is 45, cars were going at the speed of 30. after some time I took exit to fill the car. and then it was not that much rain. It's good that it was not dark other wise driving would have become more difficult. When it was dark, rain was no longer there. Good. I think GOD is with me today. Thnks my friend.

So last weekend, as I planned I went to franconia notch park in new hampshire. I was with my senior Sashi, his wife gayatri and their son Sanandan. We started at around 8:30am, reached there at 10. it was around 110miles. we took 20 bucks combo tickets. first we visited franconia flume gorge It is the traile which goes beside water. Very nice place. The sound of water flowing at hight speed, refreshed my mind. Then we reached a nice water fall. We went up by stairs, so we were at top of the fall. From there we went more ahead, it was very beautiful place. I wished my fiance were there with me. I would look more beautiful in falls I think. But even at this time it was very noce. There were nice small wood bridges over the stream. Even the bus also went over the bridge, it was 50 feets bridge, one of the smallest. Those guys have maintained the place very properly.
From there we went to tramway; it's a cable car, using which we went to mount cannon. From there a trail led us to an observatory point. I have not seen any such nice place, where you see any where on 360 degrees, you will see only mountains. And try how far you can see, you will see only mountains. The I93 highway looks very tiny going between the mountains. On all the directions it was white mountain series.
We went down then went to a lake for kanoeing, but it was over at 4 and we reached at 4:15 :(.
The from the highway Sashi saw one more place called the basin. There was a small waterfall there. Before that we went inside water, but the water was almost freezing. it should be not more than at 4degree celcius. It was really amazing. we spent some time there and moved back to home.
The day went full of excitement. I enjoyed alot. I thanks Sashi at the end for suggesting such a nice place. Ireally liked the place.
Next Plan:
Just after finishing the trip, I have decided that I am gonna go for a trek at white mountains. I asked at visiter center also for a ful day trek. He suggested me one near basin only. I checked on net about places to trek. The most popular is white mountain which I have all ready covered last year. SO the second one is the franconia ridge I have decided to go there for next weekend. Now Sashi is also in full mood of traveling this whole summer. He told me that he wants to go for a acardia for around 3 days. He asked me if I am interested, and I am everready for going to such nice places. I have already been on acardia last year, but it's so big and so nice place I am dying to go there again. Last time even the weather was not good, we enjoyed alot there. So I said yes. He has booked the hotel also there, for 9th aug weekend. I told my plan of trekking also to him. He also got enthu. So I told we will go for a small trek later in aug or sept, together. I will ask abhi also to join me. The franconia ridge trek I am planning to do alone. I have never climbed a mountain alone. I think it would be different kind of fun and peace, when going a natural place alone.

I am looking forward to both the next plans. Hope these will go adventurous ;)

Heading west again

So here I go. Living happily in bangalore. talking daily to my sweetheart on phone (many thanks to ambani for such a nice offer of unlimited calls on riliance 2 reliance).
One day I am going to my cubicle and I get to know that I have 2 go 2 U.S. in few days. Damn I got a little shock. I didn't expect it. OK, so here I go to Andover, via Boston via Frankfurt.
It has been around 8 days here and I am allready bored. This time specially because I didn;t have much enthu to come here, second I have came alone. But on flight I gore less bored that last time. May be I am now little used to of those push back seats, where I was not able to sleep at all earlier. Now I can take some little naps atleast I think.
So the journey till here was pretty ok. Only when before landing my ears were on blast. this time even my right eye also geve me an extreme pain, I don't know why. I was like, I don't know what to do. I pressed my eye. My eyebrow part was like blowing away. I pressed that. For ears I used chewing gum, which worked pretty well. I still remember last time I was on allmost tears when the plane was landing on Boston. This time, on appt my seniour is also there with me, he is with his family. So food is not a problem atleast for few days :)
The office is boring as I expected, this time more than last time. but 2 days agao my seniour found out that there's a fuseball table there. SO for 2 days we are playing fuse ball at afternoon which is pretty enjoyable. So for last 8 days only thing I enjoyed here is the fuseball. Actually the whether is also good, it;s raining and thunder storms here. I like this season. We got a veri nice car hundai azera, which is very smooth in driving. I like driving in U.S. as it's quite easy to drive, and you can safely drive at over 100kmph.
Other than that I am planning to gofor joggin but not getting time or due to my laziness not able to get wake in the morning. I hope I would be able to start in couple of days. Otherwise I'll do that at eve time.
Today I decided this weekend I will go somewhere. I can't waste my weekend in office or appt. 2morrow I am going for a trip to some water falls trails thing. don't remember the name, actually my senior is going so I told I will join him. Any way if he wouldn;t be going I was gonna go with my own. I hope it would be a nice spot.

Run Maadi Run

Today was a big day for me. I participated in bangalore 10K race. It's world's richest 10K race.
TIll friday I was not participating it, then some of my colleagues were participating, so I also decided to go for it.
It was scheduled little late that's 9am, as it's may so it's little hot (not much as compred to other cities though). I reached at kanteeriva stadium at around 8:15. There was a huge crowd. At least 5000 people were ready to run. It was a huge success of organizers. And they organized it pretty well. There were 2 helicopters looking at the race, ambulance was there, medikal tent was there. They knocked off the full trafice from the running area, that's not easy to organize. So we started, it was 9:10 at my watch, my target was to finish the 10km in 1 hour. SO I decided to run faster in the first half and little slower in second. I thought I'll complete 5 km in 25 minutes. But starting itself was not very good. I was taking little more time than my expectation. I completed 2 km in around 12-13 munites. But I got the pace again. I waas running for around 6-700 meters and walking for 60-70 meters. SOme how I completed 5km in exactely 30 minutes. But I was tired, but I kept going. THe speed decresed. Now I was thinkg I can't finish in 1hour. There was a slope upwards for half km, I just kept walking, but I got energy there. SO I started running again. Now at around 56-7 minutes I was just 2km far from the finishing line. So I started running with full josh. Last 500 meters I ran very fast. There were chear girls also to increase my enthu.
And at last I completed in 1 hour 5 minutes

I know it's more than my target, but even then I am very happy with my result. I did only one day practice. For more than a month I am not jogging in the morning. just 2 days back I was thing I even can't run, and here I finished in pretty decent time.
Now I am thinking of running daily, and having a little long (4-5km) run on road at every weekend. Let's see how it goes.

Taare Zameen Par

Yesterday I watched the movie Taare Zameen Par, which I was tring to watch for more than a week. Even last weekend I planned to watch it on comp, but I am happy I couldn't. Some movies have much greater effect on theaters than when watched on small screen.
It's really a very nice concept saying "Every Child is Special", and showing what it means to take care of a child.

Mangalore Trip

Last (longer) weekend, I went for 3 days trip to mangalore and near-by places with my room mates Ahish and Nitin.

mangalore trip

It was very enjoying and refreshing trip. First day we went to arabi falls near ujare. We spent night at dharmashtala, which has popular Manujunath Temple, which we visited next day morning.
Then We went to mangalore, and ullal beach from there. It was a great fun there.
The third day was even more exciting. We went to malpe beach, very nice and beautiful beach. We had ride of a water bike also there. Evening was for St. Merry Island. Very nice small island.
It was different experience spending an evening at such a nice island.

Jab we met

Yesterday night I watched a wonderful movie called Jab we Met.
I guess, it's one of very few movies in which kareena got a good role. The concept itself is amazing. The character geet is one of the most inspiring characters I have ever seen. Very, very optimistic, doesn't think much of future worries. There are problems in her life, she looks them very lightly and solves them in no time. Just go where the heart says.
I have learned very much from this movie, and decided to change my life like Geet. It's really wonderful, you will get whatever you like, if you actually like it. As SRK told in OSO,

Well that is called optimism. Jab we met, reminded me the Carpe Diem concept, which I learned from another fandu movie "Dead Poet Society".
I like the way shahid kapoor address his company, by saying that the company is already at it's worst stage, so whatever happens next, it will good only.
Now I am going to listen my heart, and going to take each problem lightly.

Back to India

Well, it doesn't matter how much you enjoy the foreign land, you will allways miss your MotherLand. I wished, I could be in US for few more days, but at the same time I wanted to come back also.
We started at 31st oct eve, and reached back at 1st Nov (no it's not 2 days, it was only 22 hours), via paris airport. Oh man the paris airport (charles de gua or some thing like that), is too big, that from our landing port, we took bus to terminal 2E, then we took train from their to 2E (76-96), then from there we took one more bus to 2E(86).
When the plane lands on Bangalore, that itself started giving good feel, because you are back. I know I have to wait in queues for the luggage, there will be chose outside, auto-ricksha guy will ask for 100Rs for 2KM, but that's OK, ultimately I am back.
Well I am more happy because, I am goning my home town for Diwali. I can't afford to miss diwali at my home, where all of my cousin brothers and sisters and nephews etc, we all will have a great time together. So going home is increasing my feel good factor exponentially.

So we will meet, after Diwali.

Trip to Niagara Falls

Last weekend we went to thousand islands and niagara falls.
Lots of fun and adventure from the starting of the trip itself. We allmost missed the bus, as we were totally lost in boston. We had reach the starting point at 6:45, and we were allmost there at 6:15. But since we had to park our car, a guy told us that you can park at south station and he showed the way, but I guess we misunderstood the way, we reached somewhere else, and then onwards we were just going here and there, but our destination. We went to a tunnel, after paying $3 (Rs120), from there we reached to north of boston again. It was allready 6:50. Now time was slipping from our hands. Bus had to start at 7. I decided to somehow reach the I93 highway again, from there we knew the way. Somehow we reached to beach road, where we found parking lot. I parked my car, in a smal passage, as a inch left or right, and car will get good look. When I parked, I found that, I cant open the door. Somehow I tried to come out from wondow. Then I pushed the button to close the window, and rapidely got my hand out of it. It was 7:15, and the guide was waiting for us eagerly.
So, बाल बाल बच gaye.

My trip to Mount Washington

Well, fall has started here, so it's time to go out somewhere in new hampshire. Now we heard that, there is a white mountain seriese, which is good to visit in NH. Then our coleague told that there is mount washington there which has nice view but the weather there is unstable. He told you can drive till up, or you can take the train.
But I and my friend Bharat decided to go to the top by trakking. We started early at around 6-7. But since we didn't know the rout, reached on the base at around 1;15. Now the lady at informatin centre told us that, we won't be able to make it, as it's 8 hour round trip. But we started with full josh, and reached till allmost top, at 3:15. Since I had no experiance of driving at night, I wanted to go down early, so we can finish our half journey to home before dark. We spent around 15 minutes at that local maxima, and started to came back.
The overall trip was a great fun. Very nice weather, nice landscapes in journey. It was tiring also. I realized that my stemina has decreased so much that, I was fully tired in the middle itself.

Next day when I checked my weight, I had lost 3 KG, wow I was very happy, but one day later I checked and saw 1kg came back.

I am in USA for about a month. I came here at 20th sept.
We landed at Boston. Well I was exited about this trip. First few things I noticed in USA which are different than India:

Cars, cars and cars: It looks like there is no human here. Afteer coming out of airport. I hardly saw people. We went to our appartment nobody was there. We went to office nobody is there in building. On the roads nobody is there but cars.
Everybody does all his work: Since there is lack of man power (looks like), everybody does all his work. When I told people here that, in India there is a maid for cleaning my room and washing the cloths, another for cooking and there are couple of security guards in the apartment, for them it was like a great luxuary. Here you have to clean your house by yourself, cook yourself, wash cloths yourself (well everyone has washing machine). So after living few days here, it looks like you are like King in India. In India, in petrol pump there would be a guy to fill the tank, one to take money from you may be one for putting oil on you scooter another one for air. Here you have to do all by yourself.
Automation: Most of the things are automatic here, so you don't need human assistance. No wonder India is having more and more outsoeced projects.
There is no lack of space: In Bangalore, there is high fight for space. You need to park your car in small corner of the building. All the houses are sticked to each other. Here atleast in andover which is a suburbe of Boston, there is lot of space. In our office, the parking space is double than total work space. In bangalore we have 2 floors of parking and 9 floors of work in single area. Here lot of space for parking, only 3 floors for office, and lots of greenery.

And the list doesn't stop here. Overall it looks completely different to be here.

I just saw a robo video in Robo-One 9: Robot Competition. The robot is amzing, it can change it's shape. It can become humoid from a spider, can convert it's arms to legs and vice versa.
It's balance is realy impresive.

around 16 yrs back, at 87-88 I used to tell to my mom, that I will become pilot. Whenever a plane flies from the sky, whatever I am doing, I ll be out of my home looking at sky to find out the plane. Once "Motilal Bora"(a politician) came to our cit y on a chopper, I went to the chopper at 4 km away from my home.
At 90-95s:
I decided sky is no longer the limit, I will become Astronaut. I have a great interest at space. If I see any article about space I can't leave it without reading it. I am trying to know how can I make my dream true. I came to know that Indian Space Agencies don't have any plan of having anything like astronaut, and I don't want to work for other countries.
At 1997:
I completed my 10th. Now I have to decide where to go. I have 3 interests, one is Physics, second is Maths and the last but not the least is Accounts. I hate Bio and chemistry.
I decided to go for commerce, but my father(the best advisor), advised me to go for Maths+Science. He told me that I could switch to commerce even later after 12th.

It's wonderful morning today. It's raining little bit.
Yesterday my roommate Sachin left for hometown nagpur. I am leaving at 29.
I am eager to celebrate Diwali with my relatives. I am waiting for the Diwali desperately. I wisi I could be at my home now only, but I have to wait for 3-4 days. I ll be there at 31st Oct 2:30 am around.
I didn't celebrate diwali with my relatives for 2 years. Last one was at 2003. Rkhchha Bandhan's case is even worse My sister didn't bind rakhi on my wrist for three yrs :(

monitor story cont...

Well as I told in my earlier post, I got a monitor and a new 6 gb 4(2HT)proc. m/c.
Today
Our admin told in morning that the monitor is not working and it's vast, so I gave up :) (I don't want to giveup on any cond, but here I know I am first in the Q for next new lcd monitor.)

Today I got one more 6 gb m/c. I exchanged my old 2gb m/c with 6gb of one of my friend :).

BUT
I couldn't get TKinter on python of either of the new m/c.
I tried to install new python, I came to know that there is no TK on those :)

At eve, admin came to tell me that monitor is working but he needed a connector to make it work for me.

So at the end I have monitor but without connector for 3 days.
I have 2 new m/c but none of them is working fine.

No Problem

Admin ll take care of monitor (I am not desparate abiut ut.)
I'll take care of TK and python stuffs of the new m/c.

lucky or unlucky

Sometimes I thinks whether I am lucky or unlucky.
Today was looking a lucky day for me.
I got a 6gb m/c, then I got a LCD monitor :)

But

The connector for monitor is not available so monitor is there on my desk but I am able to use it. I am thinking I should paste the poster of dennice (which I took today to office and pasted on my cubibcle) on the monitor.
The admin took 6gb m/c back for some times.

OK I got the m/c back.
but monitor is still unused here :(

a brief history of last few months

From last to last post There have been many changes in my life.
around 20 june: I got job.
at 27 I went to goa.
at 28-3: I enjoyed goa with my threee family friends (Amit, Servesh, Arpit).
then I went to bombay, where I enjoyed at Khandala, Lonawala, Watrkingdom and essolworld.

I was in home for few days after that.

I joined my work at 25th july.

Till then I am on job.
I shifted to my 1bhk house at HAL II stage in Bangalore.
Many more things but I can't each and every thing's info here :(

Space Tourism Group Sets Price, Date for First Suborbital Flight

A private space tourism firm has set both the price and timeframe for their first passenger-carrying launch of a suborbital spacecraft.

AERA Corp., which is developing the six-seater spacecraft Altairis, has set ticket prices for its first flights at $250,000. The rocket is slated to make its first launch in December 2006, AERA officials said.

"With our design completed and our agreements in place to use Cape Canaveral for launch, flight logistics and landing, we are now ready to begin ticket sales," said Bill Sprague, AERA founder, CEO and chief scientist, in a statement this week.

Koorg trip

We had a nice and adventuras trip to koorg, karnataka, which is around 250 km from Bangalore. We were 20 people having 2 days trip, where 11 others joined us second day. We had a nice time there. First day we visited Nagarhole national park, a safari to deep jungle(unfortunately got nothing other than beers and elephants). We had tracking at urupi falls, It was more like rock climbing there. then we took bath at the water fall. Next day we 20(Tata Institute Treckers) met the other 11 BB(Bangalore Buffelows). We went to Tala Cauvery(starting point of river Cauvery). It is on a hill. then we went to tip of a hill, what a nice scene was from there, I realy liked that. We went to aby falls at evening where we took the bath and enjoyed the water.
At the end we took little more time to a place near the water fall, played some games and started back jorney to Bangalore.

Hay one of the biggest mistake I have done yesterday.

At around 10:00pm at 2nd may. I am talking to my friends. I got a missed call. Who is this? This is my sweet sister. I got again a missed call from her. I thought why she is giving me missed call?
I called her and now it was one of the most shamful moment for me, in my life, she asked what is date today? Then I recalled today is 2nd may my sis' B'day. I wished her with a great sorry. But it was not new for her. She knows I don't used to remember the things, even my own B'day. So she gorgave me immediately, but I couldn't myself. SO now I am not going to forget anything important for others specially.

Text-twist with out word power

Its routine in our lab(LITEC) to play text-twist (a yahoo game where you have to generate different meaningful words from a set of 6 characters). I dont used to play it because of my weak word power in english. But I think nothing is impossible, so can I have a high score in text-twist?
Let's take little help of computer, let's learn little scripting. So I tried to grep the word list provided in dict in the systems to look for permutation of given characters. Then I came up with a shell script using which I could get all the meaning full words of length 3,4,5 and 6, from given set of 6 characters. I helped one of my friend to get a high score in text-twist using the script.
Now let's have a game...

Just playing games. I have to do many things but even I don't know what to d owhen. It's allready 4:26 am in my watch, I have to attend class also tomarrow, so I am thinking to go to sleep, but today I didn't do much productive things. I slept at 8:00 am , Wokeup at 5:00 pm, had snakes at mess. At 5:45 attended meeting for 'the duel' which I fixed at 5:30. Went to pizza corner at 6:30. Went to T.V. room at 7:15. Took dinner at 8:30 Watched movie "the incredibles" at night went to T board at 2:30. And since then I am playing Yahoo! games.
Tommarow I ll attend web modiling class at 10 am , I ll do some project work up to 12:30. I ll be sleaping up to 3:00 after taking lunch. Attend daa class at 3:30 At night, I ll make some changes to my code of dcument clustering.

At last I started my project work seriously again.
I am reading some papers (read only one yet). I have downloaded dataset to start some experiments, but first I have to clean my code and improve it, optimize it. Then I am planning to add labling on my document clustering system.
This time I am going to work harder. Planning to have time table which I am going to follow.
Tonight I ll read one more paper and then I ll try to add stop word remover also on my system.

Hay it is my first posting.
Here I am going to plan my future. I am going to have a time table which, I will strictly follow.
This week I didn't have much productive work, but now onwords I am going to perform my best.
I am going to have full concepts of networking up to 22, dec, 2004. By 22 dec I will have full knowledge of networking from Richard Steven 'Unix network Programming'.
I am planning to make my C concepts sound. I ll start from 'K & R C'. Then I will read expert C programming, I will read Unix Programming of Richard Steven also.
My next target will be Operating Systems. I'll start from Bach, then hare comes the Casati and Vahalia.
In parallel of these interesting things, I'll be working on my Project also seriously.
This is a brief plan of my next one month. I have to do many things, and I have limited amount of time, But I know I can make my dreams come true and I WILL.
